Every gift card isn't a "one size fits all." Retailers are getting more creative with the colors, shapes, and sizes of their gift cards.

We know that many of you are having trouble trading in these odd-shaped gift cards at Alula. The most recent troublemaker in the bunch is the square JCPenney card.

We'd like to think we can do it all at Alula. However, we're still young and fairly new at this, so we're trying to learn a bunch and improve as fast as we can.

In the meantime, we're unfortunately unable to accept these and other odd-shaped gift cards.

We'll keep you posted on changes.
Just know that we're working hard for you here at Alula and we hope to have a solution in place soon!

Why you ask? There is limited demand for gift cards that have less than $20 of value. 
However, most retailers will give you the remaining balance in cash if it's below $5-$10, so we suggest you visit their store and see if they can help you!

We're growing! And we've moved into Columbus to a grocery store near you.

Just a couple weeks ago, we opened 21 Alula kiosks in Giant Eagle grocery stores in and around Columbus.
